Hi Scott,

Thanks for stopping by man. Usually when the string buzzes on my guitars, it happens around the 14th fret and down from there. There might be two causes:

1. Your bridge might be too low and contacting the frets, hence the fret buzz.

2. The neck of your guitar is warped (twisted or bent).

In case #2, if it is twisted, the guitar I'd say is a lemon. There's little you can do to remedy the situation.
If the neck is bent, you should check the straightness by "sighting", check one of my tutorials here in how to check the straightness of your guitar's neck.

If this is the case, tighten your truss rod a fraction and test it out.

I recommend pushing through with the pick from one string to the next, rather than picking as you get a smoother sweep.
Cheers

Hi Mario,

Yep you can create your own chains easily with the PX5D but honestly, they don't sound all that great (to me anyway). The PX5D is great for training guitar though, and I use it mainly with guitar backing tracks slowed down to half speed so I can master the licks if they're a bit too difficult and fast for me.

I've seen a function where you can loop the pattern/chain indefinitely but I honestly haven't played around with it much. If you want better looping, check out the Boss GT range. They just sound so much better.

Hi there, thanks for the review of this beautiful item. I'd like to buy it to, but I've a question before to proceed... Reading the manual I'm sure that You can loop the songs inside the PX5D but, what about the chains You create using the PX5D iteself or the software? I'd like to know if when You start a chain at the end it restart again (lopping indefinitely) or You've to start it again manually. If would be great to create a chain with more than one or two patterns that repeat itself again and again so You can improve on it... Can You answer my question?? Thank You very much!

Hi Bharat,

All I can say is keep trying. When you reach your 1 year anniversary, you will notice a vast improvement compared to the year before. The trick is to train consistently, even if it's just a few minutes a day. It's frustrating but every guitar player who has been successful goes through the same thing as you. If you give up now, you'll never get to experience the joy of playing guitar.

The only advise I can give you is, that if you'd rather learn at your own pace, ( if you're busy and stuff ), then get yourself a guitar course on dvd which you can follow along with. It's a lot easier that way as you can take your time to review each lesson. With an instructor, you'll have to remember everything he teaches you and by the time you get home, you would have forgotten 50% of it. It's a waste of money in my opinion. When I first learned guitar, there weren't any guitar tutorials on dvd, so I just had to buy books and learn that way myself. These days, the kids have it easy...

All the best,

Mark

hey man thanks for your courteous encouragement. I've been trying to learn guitar from past 7 to 8 months and i think i have become a little skillfull in basic chords and few barre chords too..but practicing lasts for only couple of weeks and then for next few weeks im just totally frustrated and i don't even feel like picking up my guitar. And posts like yours, makes up my mind to keep practicing. Thanks again.
one more advise, do your think it is wise to spend money on online tutorials? I have a tutor already. but i think he is loosing interest in teaching me because, im kinda have long intervals of not practicing.

Thanks again!!!!
