Guitar tutorials, there are just so many resources online, so what’s stopping you from getting started with learning guitar today?
You might be a little bit confused with some guitar tab tutorials if you’re only just starting to learn to play guitar. Where should I start ? – a question very commonly asked by newbies. I was there once myself and boy..was I lost! Like any skills you learn, time, patience and perseverance will guide you to your goals, provided you have the RIGHT GUITAR INSTRUCTION.
An offline resource would be to buy a beginner guitar book or have 1 to 1 coaching with a qualified and experienced guitar instructor. Personal coaching is very expensive and if you’re just starting out, it might not be worth your while to go down that route.
When my journey of learning guitar first began, I saved my hard-earned cash and went to a local qualified instructor. It costed me $25 / half hour and I ended up learning very little..
Why? First of all he wasn’t very good at teaching and secondly, he didn’t have a system that was EASY for beginners to understand. What he was trying to tell me sounded like a TOTALLY different language! He just couldn’t explain things in a clear enough way for me. In my opinion, it was a down-right - WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY!
I didn’t understand anything as a newbie and ended up getting even more confused and very frustrated! Each guitar lesson went by – WAY TOO FAST. Needless to stay, I only attended two lessons with him.
If you’re just starting out, the best way is to teach yourself first through online tutorials, then pay for a guitar instructor later on down the track when you want to fix some sticking points in your guitar playing.
